Alison Weir launches new book

Published in , , ,

Alison Weir launched her new book, Elizabeth of York, last night in the Great Hall at Hampton Court Palace to an audience of very lucky members of Historic Royal Palaces.

In this new biography Alison builds an intriguing portrait of Elizabeth of York, one of England’s most loved queens, placing her in the context of the magnificent, ceremonious, often brutal, world she inhabited, and revealing the woman behind the myth, showing that differing historical perceptions of Elizabeth can be reconciled.

Members of Historic Royal Palaces were able to buy the book and have the privilege of meeting Alison to get their book signed.

If you were lucky enough to be there then please share your thoughts on the evening and any photos you might have taken.
