Fashion Rules: Dress from the collections of HM The Queen, Princess Margaret and Diana, Princess of Wales

This summer, a glamorous new exhibition, Fashion Rules will open at Kensington Palace. Featuring rare and exquisite dresses from HM Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret and Diana, Princess of Wales, this exhibition will provide a feast for the eyes and a nostalgic glance back at recent decades. To fully explore these stories and the fabulous women wearing these frocks, on 15 July we have two experts coming into Kensington Palace to take us behind the scenes of how royal women are dressed and by whom.

Sarah Gristwood is well known to members and throughout her career as a journalist interviewed the great Giorgio Armani. Sarah co-write Fabulous Frocks with Jane Eastoe who also has an illustrious interviewee list including the recently disgraced John Galliano! Jane wrote a wonderfully insightful sartorial biography of Her Majesty the Queen which revels in the sumptuous glory of a monarch’s wardrobe! Elizabeth: Reigning in style relates directly to the subject of this fabulous new exhibition at Kensington Palace and where better to enjoy the rich decadence of frocks and fashion?

  1. My wife and I are joint members. Could she bring a friend who is not a member along as a guest?

  2. Dear Frank, this event was in 2013 and there are no plans to repeat it at the moment however the ‘Fashion Rules’ exhibition is still on at Kensington Palace so you can still see them on display.
