Alchemy, astrology and to bed with the King
As part of Museums at Night you can join us for an evening of storytelling, alchemy and astrology with films, fairy tales, talks and tours for all the family.
Don’t miss this late night opening and a chance to see the palace in a different light and explore our new, temporary exhibition, ‘Secrets of the Royal Bedchamber’.
Among the activities available will be:
- Storytelling in the Great Watching Chamber
- Make you own astrological clock – in rooms off Clock Court opposite the real thing!
- Cinema screening of the Spring Future Shorts* programme in the King’s Guard Chamber (maximum 80 people)
- Short ghost tours/talks – delivered on a first come first served basis
You will also be able to join King Charles II, who was more than just the benefactor of alchemists – he became one himself! This will be an opportunity to see the King carrying out his experiments.
And at the end of the evening there will be an opportunity to witness the Coucher of Charles II – if you are lucky enough to be invited into the Royal Bedchamber!
