Our friends at RIBA have kindly extended an invitation of a free tour of their current exhibiton The Brits Who Built the Modern World to members of Historic Royal Palaces. As supporters and enthusiasts of our palaces, we imagine some of you may be interested in other architectural styles and periods.

The RIBA are offering free, early morning curator-led tours of The Brits Who Built the Modern World exhibition at 9am on 20, 21 and 22 May – your last chance to see this fascinating exhibition, in the RIBA’s brand new, museum quality gallery space, before it closes on 27 May 2014.

Through drawings, watercolours, photographs and models the exhibition tells the story of why and how British architecture developed globally from 1950 to the present.

After the tour, why not enjoy coffee and cake in the RIBA café and explore further the landmark Art Deco building that houses RIBA headquarters.
