Last night saw Tracy Borman present her new book Witches: A tale of sorcery, scandal and seduction to a rapturous audience of members and supporters of Historic Royal Palaces.
Tracy gave us a fascinating insight into her research for the book and some of the lesser known phenomenons and atrocities of the witchhunt era in Europe. Tracy also expressed her excitement in giving the talk at the Banqueting House, pointing to a depiction of James I on the the Rubens ceiling above and explaining his involvement in the witchhunt era explored in her book.
We’d like to thank all the members who attend last night and to Tracy for a fantastic talk!
We will be discussing Tracy’s book at the next Book Club on 16 October, please do join us at Hampton Court if you can.
